" We can't predict all the struggles and storms in life, not even the ones just around the next corner, but as persons of faith and hope, we know beyond the shadow of any doubt that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the best is yet to come."
Elder L. Tom Perry

The Christmas Countdown is on!

It sure feels like Christmas in our little town this year. It snowed for two days straight last week, leaving the streets covered in beautiful white powder. The kids had slept over at Grandma's house on Friday and couldn't wait to get outside Saturday and enjoy the spoils. They bundled up and dove in. We had snowmen and snowforts, and Shawn even joined in the fun. Or should I say crashed the party. The last thing I told him before he went outside was not to throw snowballs in his kid's faces. I don't think he was outside for more than ten minutes before he nailed Britta right in the nogging, causing all sorts of crying and a string of events leading to an emotional breakdown by both Britta and Mom. I think next time we will just keep Shawn inside.

Sounds just like Shawn. Haha. That look in his face is a perfect depiction of how I would imagine him looking if he threw a snowball at me.
