" We can't predict all the struggles and storms in life, not even the ones just around the next corner, but as persons of faith and hope, we know beyond the shadow of any doubt that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the best is yet to come."

Memorial Day

Once again this year we headed to Heber on Memorial Day to visit Kimmi's and Grandpa Van's gravesides. Wierd that I love this tradition so much. We always do the same thing, pose for a family picture around Kimmi's grave and then take the cemetary walk. I love showing my kids the different graves and telling them the stories my mom used to tell me about the people who have died. The flowers are always so pretty, and it brings back so many memories of my sister Kim. I love telling my kids about their aunt Kim who they met in heaven before they came to live with us. I can't help but wonder how different my life would be if she wouldn't have died. I miss her still.

After the cemetary we went to grandma Edward's where of course she had a great spread for us for lunch. We played some baseball on her nice big lawn and had a really great day.

Stacy: I didn't know you had a sister that died. I'm sorry. Troy's brother just younger than him died when he was two. We miss him too! I am honored to bare your sisters same name!

Why does mom always leave posts on your blog and not on mine??? Maybe because you are more sentimental :) I always love Memorial Day too, although I don't remember Kimmie too much, I still miss her too.
