" We can't predict all the struggles and storms in life, not even the ones just around the next corner, but as persons of faith and hope, we know beyond the shadow of any doubt that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the best is yet to come."

First Day of School

We have hit a new milestone in the Catmull family. All three of the older ones are now in school all day long. It is strange to have them gone for eight hours a day, I miss them a little, Kendyll misses them a lot. The hours they are gone are so precious to get things accomplished because when they come home it is like a whirlwind until bedtime. All of the kids got great teachers this year, I think it will be a good one...

Jackson is in fifth grade. What? Where did the time go. This year he is studying American history. It is so fun to go into his classroom and see it decd out in red white and blue. His teacher's name is Mrs. Heywood, and I already like her a lot. He will be challenged this year, and hopefully become more responsible. She expects a lot from him and I like that!

Emma is in third grade this year and has Mrs. Owens. Mrs. Owen's is a fun teacher who tells stories about her cat. She has lots of energy and is really creative. Emma will do great in her class. Emma is growing up fast, she is always busy, busy, busy.

Britta is in first grade this year and is partcipating in the Chinese Immersion program at our school. She has half of the day in English and the second half the teacher only speaks Chinese. It is a pilot program throughout the state, so we are not sure how it is going to go. So far she is not complaining and she is really learning a lot. Her teacher's are Mrs. Reid and Li Lao Shue. Britta's biggest concern is what she is going to wear to school...she is taking after her sister Emma.

And my little Kendyll even started Preschool this year at Super Start. It is the cutest school, so creative and fun. She loves it! She is making lots of new friends and comes home pretty tired. I do miss her hanging around, but it is nice to have some time to myself after eleven years...

A bunch of cuties on their way to being all grown up...it really is like they say...where does the time go?

Why did I get teary-eyed while reading that? I can't believe your kids are growing up so fast.

They should all be little models...and I think they take after their aunt Nat, in worrying what they are going to wear...
