Yesterday was the Hobble Creek Half Marathon. I woke up at 4 am, drove with five other girls for forty five minutes, endured a forty five minute bus ride (should have been fifteen minutes but our bus kept overheating), and then stood in line for a PORT A POTTY for nearly thirty minutes. All so I could then run 13.2 miles, strip all of the cartilage from my joints, blister my poor toes, ensure that every muscle from my waist down would be sore for at least a week (I am talking death grip on the railing to even make it down the stairs), then take the drive home for forty five minutes while my muscles cramped up to immediately curl up on my couch in the fetal position and cry (okay maybe I didn't cry)... Scary thing is I just might do it all again...STUPID!!!

Me and My awesome sister Nat who ran such a great race. It was fun to do this with you even though I only saw you for a minute after the race started. But do you remember that one time when I was in front of you.. you know before the starting gun went off.
My good buddy and training partner Kristin.. I am sorry for the pain I caused you. You are such a great running pal and friend! Good job!

So there you go. The pictures might make it look like it was all fun and games, but don't be deceived.
I was watching the women's marathon the other day in the Olympics the announcer actually said that our bodies were made to run long distances...now THAT is the STUPIDEST thing I have ever heard.

You are crazy girl!!! I have a couple of friends that did that race also. It is amazing though that you did it! I'm just trying to make it though a 5k. I know i'm a wimp. YOu look great.

Good job Stac. I'm proud of you. Think of how bad your legs would hurt if I didn't roll them out yesterday. I'm such the best sister you've ever had.
