" We can't predict all the struggles and storms in life, not even the ones just around the next corner, but as persons of faith and hope, we know beyond the shadow of any doubt that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the best is yet to come."

Sunshine and Football, It doesn't get better than this!

So as many of you know, Shawn abandoned his wife and his children and spent last weekend in Sunny Honolulu to break that Sabbath and attend the Pro Bowl. He left Thursday, spent the day golfing in St. George, and then flew out on the redeye for Oahu. Him and his buddy Nathan spent the day touring. They went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and to the Temple. Here is a picture of them.. they make a cute couple don't they. Despite the strangeness of touring with another guy, he had a great time.

On Saturday they golfed some more at Ko'Olina with some of the LPG. Those ladies showed them how it was done. He really enjoyed the course there, and the beauty. Not to mention that he had six drives over 300 yards.

Sunday they went to the big game. They had really great seats, eleventh row, off of the twenty five yard line. He really enjoyed seeing the best of football out on the field together, except of course Tom Brady and Randy Moss who are big baby sore losers and didn't show up. All of festivities were unbelievable.

After that they hit the beach and went boogie boarding, again breaking the Sabbath. What the heck. All the while his sweet wife was home with the children, attending all three meetings, reading the scriptures all day, writing in our journals, having family home evening. They flew out on the red eye, and then they had to drive back from Las Vegas. So he arrived home a very tired boy on Monday night. It was hard to be sympathetic. I am however glad he had a great time. And really glad he is home.
