" We can't predict all the struggles and storms in life, not even the ones just around the next corner, but as persons of faith and hope, we know beyond the shadow of any doubt that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the best is yet to come."
Elder L. Tom Perry

Christmas, Christmas, Time is Here!

So here they are at the top of the stairs on Christmas morning! I remember doing this as a kid, sitting at the top of the stairs for what seemed like FOREVER! While dad started the stove, turned on the tree lights, and picked his nose, I don't know but it took a long time before he finally called us down. I like to torture my kids in much the same way. We do have a sweet tradition that I love while we are waiting at the top of the stairs (usually for Shawn to get out of bed). I play a song for the kids called Happy Birthday Jesus, by Reba, it gives a minute before things get crazy to think of Christ, I always feel the spirit, and get choked up a bit by the words. After that we head downstairs and it all begins.

Kendyll got a tricycle this year for Christmas. Not sure if I have said how much we love our little Kendyll. She really is nothing but pure joy for our family! Kendyll was a little apprehensive about Santa this year. She sure knew that he said Ho, Ho, Ho, and wasn't so scared of him when he was made out of chocolate!

Jackson got a new camera and some video games. He has grown up so much this year! We now officially have a photographer in the family!
Britta and Emma got a labor of love from Mom and Dad. We worked our guts out on a barbie house for them this year and it turned out super cute. Can't wait for them to have hours of fun, just like I did with my sisters growing up!
Kendyll spent the afternoon modeling for Jackson. This is only one of the several shots she posed for. Believe it or not she looked like this the entire day, and even into the next day. We did absolutely nothing that she needed to get dressed for. It was such a great, relaxing day. We had some neighbors over for breakfast in the late morning and then we lounged around all day long. A well deserved rest!
