Naughty Emma?

Spoiler Alert: This post is not for Children...

The other day Emma went over to her friend Kaela's house in shall I say a bad mood. Later that night I received a call from Kaela's mom Kim, sweetly informing me that Emma had walked into their home, and proceeded to tell her three believing girls, ages 10, 7 and yes 3 years old, that she did not believe in Santa and her mother had told her the tooth fairy, Santa and the Easter Bunny were not real. Well immediately their faces dropped and turned to Kim, who had a lot of convincing to do.
So the question is did Emma's mom really tell her that the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and Santa were not real? Okay so I admit I did blow it with the tooth fairy, but I hate the tooth fairy. She is always running late, and doesn't get the money to the kids until after breakfast. And one time we did have a conversation about the Easter Bunny in which Emma asked if it was actually a little bunny that came into your home with all of the Easter Baskets. That didn't quite make sense to me, so I told her no that it was not actually a bunny, and then she said in a bit of a scared voice "So it is just a man dressed up like a bunny and he comes into your house in the middle of the night?" It was then I realized how frightening THAT concept could be, so because I didn't know what to say. I just commented that it would be wierd if it was a man, and then we all started laughing and the conversation just ended.
So I am caught on the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny maybe. But I am a full fledged believer in Santa and for her to think otherwise is absolutely preposterous. So where does this disbelieving in Emma come from? I am not sure because she has not hinted to it at home. And the next day when the Elf on the Shelf brought a letter back from the North Pole to inform her that Santa knew what she had told her friends she even cried because she had been naughty and let Santa down.
So for now the situation has passed and I thought I was in the clear..until yesterday when she asked why Santa's handwriting looked exactly like mine...

Stacy, Stacy, Stacy,

I feel your pain; however, I thought you knew to at least write the letters on the computer with Santa's "real" autograph. You know Megan and I have had several of these talks, in fact I written a post about last year's discussion; however, I haven't gotten around to posting it yet. Maybe it will be a "post Christmas" post.

Ohhh Stacy, that is priceless. I believe in Santa also. My oldest told me yesterday, (he is 10) "that he does believe in Santa and he will until he is 30."
Ok, i'm good with that.

I think there is a lot going on in Cute "Big" Emma's head right now.

Speaking of Big Emma and Little Emma, Little Emma has been calling herself Emma Catmul Bench lately!

Duh Stac, don't you know that Santa only writes his letters with letters out of a magazine... Get it straight for when Britta pulls this.
