" We can't predict all the struggles and storms in life, not even the ones just around the next corner, but as persons of faith and hope, we know beyond the shadow of any doubt that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the best is yet to come."
Elder L. Tom Perry

On the Seventh Day of Christmas

First Presidency Christmas Devotional...
The devotional this year was so nice. The kids were sufficiently bribed and Kendyll fell asleep so I actually got to hear the talks and really enjoyed the messages. I loved Elder Uchtdorf's stories from his childhood and the true meaning of Christmas, Elder Eyring's testimony of the Saviour and President Monsen's reminder of those who may be needing a little bit extra love this Christmas. I've been touched today by all of the trials that people are enduring, in my own family, and also in our ward. It is a time of trial, things just really seem to be falling apart all around us. I am thankful for the peace the gospel brings, and for the knowledge that I have of what is most important. I believe that there can be joy even in times of trial, if we remember those things that mean the most.
