So last night for day six we headed to Logan to spend some time with some Nikkenites and with our good friends the Craneys at their annual Christmas party. The party was fun, and the food was delish, and we got the BEST white elephant. Now you may not think it is that great after you hear what it was but it was the coveted gift, and after we lost it twice, was only relinquished I think because the poor lady who stole it from us had pity on our sad faced children. SO since you are dying to know what it is....it is a candle. But not just any candle, it is a very decorative Christmas candle, that will probably take three years to burn, but not at the Catmull house. Our Christmas goal is to burn it all in one season, melt down the wax and make another candle for next year. I feel that the goal of the burning of the candle will definetely unite us as a family this season and make it a Christmas we will never forget. We already spent a night around it singing carols, while Shawn took the lighter to it. So super festive.
